New:- Sarah Parrott who is a student at the University of Plymouth, is planning to build an online mapping system for letterboxing. She has an online survey to help her with this, which she would like as many people as possible to fill out. You can find the survey at:- http://ccc.domaindlx.com/sparrott/survey/index.asp

Well from the results so far, all ages seem to go letterboxing with most people being in the 25 to 55 group!, (who visit this site anyway!), but a lot of people are hardened boxers with very impressive stamp collections, and long walking days. There is also divided opinion on the best boxes, and worst, with Hen Tor and Ducks Pool featuring in both!
Duck's Pool has lept to the Top of the Most Popular Sites, and is one of the worst hiding places, but seeing as it's in a permanent structure we can accept that!. It's one of the easiest to find, but still tricky to get to, especially when it's wet! A nice walk when it's dry and sunny though!
Dolphin has become the most popular stamp, and can be found on the North Moor (Somewhere!).
The Lundy boxers are voting en-mass and taking the charts by storm, well two of them have! But they have put two of Lundy's boxes near the top, partly due I suppose to the limited number to vote for! Not strictly on Dartmoor, but still in Devon, so I included it, another pointer for the walker who likes the Extreme places! But we need more Dartmoor votes to even things up and give a truer picture!
A lot of the boxes, sites etc are getting just one vote at this stage, (hence the list isn't seem to be changing, - new boxes keep getting added to the survey with just one vote!), hopefully a little later on we'll be able to draw up a good idea of the truly popular and unpopular letterboxes! The more votes cast the better the overall picture will be!
Please contact me with any relevant information about letterboxes, ie any new ones discovered, unsual boxes, or boxes that you have placed and want people to know about
